    Thomas Nolan is the founder and sole member of Virginia Wills, Trusts & Estates. He provides legal services and advice related to estate planning, the probate system, the settling of estates, estate and gift taxation, and infant and adult adoptions. He has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has practiced law in Charlottesville since 1987.

    Tom is active in a number of professional organizations related to his areas of practice. He is a past Chairman of the Wills, Trusts & Estates Section of the Virginia Bar Association and remains active on the Section's Legislative Committee. He is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption AttorneysTom has been a guest speaker each year since 2005 at the Annual Advanced Estate Planning and Administration Seminar sponsored in the spring by the Virginia Bar Association and Virginia CLE.

    Tom received his B.A. (1978) from the University of Virginia and his J.D. (1982) from the University of Virginia School of Law. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Covenant School and is an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church. He lives in Albemarle County with his wife Jane and his two teenagers.

    Tom grew up near Boston, Massachusetts and looks forward to seeing the Red Sox win their third World Series of the 21st Century. He proposed to his wife Jane within sight of Nantucket's Sankaty Head Lighthouse, which is one of the reasons the lighthouse is featured in the law firm's logo.

Kaye Teasley Muth is an associate of the firm, having returned to her original practice area of estate planning and administration after seven years of practicing corporate bankruptcy, reorganization, and commercial litigation with Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Virginia.

She received her B.A. (1995) from the University of Virginia and her J.D. (1998) from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she won the Virginia State Bar Family Law award.  She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, attended high school in Monterey, California, and has lived as well in London, Paris, and Houston, Texas.  She lives with her husband and teenage daughter in the Rugby Road area of Charlottesville, and is a member of Farmington Country Club.

When not at work, Kaye can usually be found hiking along the trails of Virginia, or cooking in her kitchen.
